Brushed past it with a handbag or backpack, probably. Can't be from jeans rivets, because the scratches are too long vertically.

Poor manufacturing would head my list of reasons. Not user error.

Someone was wearing a fashionable new dress made entirely from sandpaper and brushed up against it.

Headlight gap to fender and hood seems off as well... I think you may have been fully booped.

That’s definiately a very light brushing with a vehicle. But they probably know they made contact and decided to leave anyways.

Unless it’s a newer light assembly and the old was was wrecked with just a little paint hit. One time the barrier on the golden gate bridge was out of whack and I had to bump it or the car next to me so I picked the barrier. I had a fucked up wheel arch thing that I changed but a small bit of paint had been hit.

No, i keep the truck fairly clean and just noticed this the other day, its a new addition, not a manufactoring issue.

Paint flaking off in one area without reasonable damage to explain it? I wouldn’t completely remove the chance of factory doing something that impacted this.
